Not just a dress, or a necklace, or a bag but that specific feeling you get when you discover a designer nobody around you has heard of yet. A piece that makes someone stop you in the street and ask where is that from? A find that feels like it was made for you, not for everyone.
After 12 years of searching and not quite finding it, I decided to build the store I'd always wanted to walk into.
My name is Aurélie. I'm French, I've lived in Dubai for over a decade, and Caravana is, quite literally, the mirror of my personality. I opened it during COVID, in a moment when the world had stopped and I had finally had enough time to ask myself: what do I actually want to create?
The answer was this: a concept store built entirely around the joy of discovery.
Every piece in this store is something I would wear, give to my best friend, or never want to leave the store without.
Every piece has a reason
Every designer I carry, I chose personally. Not because they were trending, not because they had a waiting list, but because something about their work stopped me. The craft, the colour, the story behind it, the fact that I'd never seen anything quite like it. I travel to find them through trade shows, through studios, through the kind of serendipitous Instagram rabbit holes that lead you to a ceramicist in Italy or a jewellery maker in Buenos Aires.
I look for designers who are emerging, independent, and building something with intention. Designers who care deeply about what they make and why they make it. When I find one that moves me, I bring them to Caravana.
The pieces you'll find here are not fast fashion. They are not safe choices. They are not the things everyone else is wearing this season.
They are gems chosen because they are beautiful, because they are original, and because they are made to stay with you for years, not months.
