The Jati necklace finds its inspiration in its meaning: 'birth' in Sanskrit जाित. It is naturally made of multicoloured tourmalines, a thousand-year-old stone.
Tourmaline takes its name from the Sinhalese (Sri Lanka) which means "stones of mixed colours". It is a coloured stone with beautiful shades of pink, green, ochre and black. Sometimes called a rainbow stone, it also inspires creativity and it is this random gradation of colours that has inspired Titya since she was a child.
